CERITA RAYA

Assalamualaikum.

Hello awak2 semua. Dah sampai rumah ke? Dah balik kampong? Dah siap biskut raya? Berapa jenis tahun ni? Well as for us we don’t prepare much this year –tart nenas, kuih gunting, biskut arab/makmur, kuih Loyang and biskut cornflakes madu (hehe I just help the last one, tu pon curi tulang). Oh and my signature chocolate cake(haha bajet je) to be done tomorrow insya Allah.

Two days left to raya, so lets get the raya mood with raya story. We start with why this year's raya is different from last year shall we?

1. I was working on last year raya

I was working with a healthcare catering company before, and in-charged of a hospital in Wangsa Maju. As people aware off, health industry never stop. We can never close a hospital. So does people working in healthcare setting. Though we are outsource company, but a service is a service, regardless of hari raya ke tak. Sebak sayu sedih malam raya tu tinggal sorang2 tak payah cakap la. Tapi petang 1^st raya tu jugak I dah blah dah hihi.

2. Musibah on last Ramadhan and Syawal

My youngest brother involved in an accident last Ramadhan. He was hospitalized for 40 days since then, HOSHAS-HKL-HOSHAS.The raya mood was gloomy last year, with abah and Ila and Awi alternately took care of him in the hosp, the very sad and worried mak, with Kakni and SIL were 7 months pregnant and what not. It was a huge ujian, and Alhamdulillah kami redha and believe that there is always something in everything. 

3. The cute-adorable-gorjes lil’ monsters are here!

Ahmad Syauqi, born on 7/11, and Wan Qaireen Rafiqa, on 10/11 last year, now both 9 months old. They are the sunshine in the family, the apple of our eyes, the adorable lil moster, the love of everyone. Cant wait for them to be back here, Qi on 3^rd day raya, and Eyin on 2^nd day raya. Cepat2 mokde nak bagi duit raya ni.

4. A sad story

Well I am not going to disclose it here, but enough to say that the story broke our heart to pieces. It involved someone very dear, very close to us. All I can say is we are praying for her happiness, semoga dia tabah. It break my heart to look her in the eyes and pretend that nothing happened, that everything is normal as it seems. Ya Allah, Kau tabahkanlah hatinya, kuatkan imannya. Amin.

5. Tahun ke 2 memberi duit raya

Alhamdulillah, though not much, but I am grateful that I can share pieces of my rezeki. My cousin kecik2 lagi (bcos mak is the eldest of 7 siblings) so ramai la kanak2 riang untuk diberi duit raya. Insya Allah kalau rezeki lebih tahun depan kakja upgrade duit raya korang hoccay. Doa lebih2 sikit hihi.

And that is why this year's raya is a bit different. Anyhoo, for raya, we are going back to kampong yang sangat la jauh tu tomorrow's evening, after bakar lemang. Yeah tahun ni buat lemang kat rumah Jengka, sebab abah kerja. So lemang yg telah dimasak akan dibawa balik ke rumah nek esok. Kitorang memang buat lemang every year, tapi tahun ni lain skit tak buat kat rumah nek. Rendang pulak mungkin rendang ayam, as requested by mamat indon sesat kat umah ni hihi (jgn marah awi). Main dish maybe nasi tomato (tak habis plan lagi), and other menu like nasi impit with kuah kacang tu mesti la ada kan.

So here I am wishing all of you Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir Batin. Jemputlah datang ke rumah ye.
